This prestigious award recognises Ballinlough National School's commitment to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for pupils from diverse backgrounds.

A seven-strong monitoring team from Schools of Sanctuary Ireland visited the school on March 31st to assess its progress.

The pupils and staff warmly welcomed the team with a showcase of music, dance, and presentations. Senior pupils proudly shared their personal stories of coming to Ballinlough from countries such as Ukraine, Latvia and Brazil, highlighting their positive experiences at the school. Other children shared their experiences of transferring from other parts of Ireland. Past pupils also participated in the event via video-link.
