There is deep sadness in South Roscommon following the sudden passing of Kevin Daly, proprietor of Daly’s Tavern in Kiltoom.

Mr Daly, Curnaseer, Kiltoom, Athlone, Co. Roscommon, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, April 8th while “playing the game he loved in Moate Golf Club”. He was aged 67.

One of the many online sympathisers described his untimely death as “a heartbreaking shock” for the family and for the wider Kiltoom community.

Kevin will be sadly missed and always loved by his heartbroken wife Mary (née Harney), sons Paul, Colin and Cian, mother Patricia, mother-in-law Kitty, brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, aunts, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours, many loyal customers and friends.

Reposing in his beloved Daly's Tavern, Kiltoom (N37 YT21) on Sunday evening, April 12th from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m..

Removal from his home on Monday morning, April 13th, to the Church of the Risen Christ, Ballybay, Kiltoom, arriving for Mass of the Resurrection at 11 a.m.. Burial afterwards in Kiltoom Cemetery.

In Mr Daly’s online funeral notice, the Daly family thanked the Midland Vintners Golf Society, Moate Golf Club, the paramedics, the Air Ambulance and the staff at the Midland Regional Hospital, Tullamore.
