A major development at a County Roscommon secondary school is underway.
The development of a grass sand-based sports field is underway at Coláiste Chiarain in South Roscommon.
The 13,500 sq metre area will be levelled, drained and reseeded to a high standard by the specialist contractor O'Carroll Sportsturf.
The sports field area will facilitate GAA, soccer and rugby games to be played all year around in the school. This new facility is expected to be completed for September 2025.
