Driver arrested after cannabis found

Gardai in Roscommon recently arrested a driver after discovering cannabis in his possession.

The Roads policing Unit in Roscommon stopped the vehicle for Road Traffic offences.

There was a strong smell of cannabis emitting from the car and it was found that the driver had a quantity of cannabis in his possession. He failed the roadside oral fluid test, testing positive for cannabis.

The driver was arrested with court proceedings to follow.
