In a proactive move to strengthen community development in the Ballinlough area, Enterprise Kiltullagh CLG recently held a strategic meeting with Dr Martin Daly, Fianna Fáil TD for Roscommon-Galway.
“We were delighted with the opportunity to meet Dr Daly at the EK Digital Hub to showcase some of our initiatives and highlight some priority development issues for our community," said Yvonne Ryan, chairperson of Enterprise Kiltullagh.
During the visit, the chairperson spoke of most recent developments at the Hub. “We are delighted to announce that we have secured EuroForest as the anchor tenant for The Hub. Due to the expansion of EuroForest Ltd they will now be the sole tenants of EK Digital Hub. This is very much in keeping with our primary remit, which is attracting footfall to our village and supporting enterprise development. As a result of this hugely positive development, we are in the process of relocating our remote working facility to Enterprise House, our original development in the village. We are very pleased that our facilities are now at maximum capacity,” explained the chairperson.
“In recent months we supported the launch of two new businesses in the village, namely MG Massage and EmpowerFit Health and Wellness studio. These have been a hugely positive addition to our community bringing footfall to the area. EmpowerFit continues to go from strength to strength, and we are delighted to have worked with Olivia to enable the start-up and subsequent expansion of her business. We congratulate Olivia and wish her continued success,” said the chairperson.
She also paid tribute to her colleagues in Enterprise Kiltullagh for their commitment and particularly thanked Micheal McGreal, Ruth Sullivan and Martha Cornwall who recently retired from the committee. Following a very successful expression of interest process the group has welcomed new members Paddy Scally, Martina Greene, Senator Gareth Scahill and Dominic Healy to the board.
“They bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the Board and we look forward to the further developments which we are actively pursuing at the moment. Our sincere thanks to Dr Martin Daly for affording us the opportunity to discuss these issues and his commitment to supporting our board,” said Ms Ryan.
