Greetings to Rossies everywhere from Bahrain

The Grogan family with Santa Claus.
Mike, Mary, Malaya Padraic and baby Miguel Pearse Grogan live in the Philippines and will be enjoying Christmas in Bahrain this year.
Through the Grogan family, eight-month-year-old Miguel is sending a message to all their loved ones in County Roscommon:
"Dear Friends and Family in Roscommon, My name is baby Miguel, and I am 8 months old. My daddy is from Roscommon, so I think that makes me a Rossie too!

"This Christmas, we are staying in a place called Bahrain in the Middle East. It’s very different from Roscommon — lots of sand, very little grass, and they only have a few sheep — but my family is here, so I am happy.
"I have met Santa once, and I’ll be honest… he’s a little bit scary! My older brother Malaya Padraic, though, is super excited about him. He really hopes to get a Lego boat for Christmas. He’s just a bit worried that Santa might forget — but I think Santa has a good memory, so we’ll be okay!

"Last July, I visited Roscommon, and I loved it. It’s my favourite place in the world. I can’t wait to come back this summer! I’m especially excited to see Granny and Grandad Grogan in Ballintubber, Aoibheann Brennan in Lecarrow, baby Páidí Hogan in Kildare, and all my cool uncles and aunties, Lorraine, Olivia, Gregory, Jamie, and Kevin.
"Lots of love to all the other small boys and girls in Roscommon. I will see you all in 2025!"
Nollaig Shona Daoibh! Miguel Pearse Grogan
