Lighting up in support of childhood cancer awareness
Roscommon County Council is lighting up the Civic Space in Roscommon Town in gold in support of childhood cancer awareness month.
Roscommon County Council is showing its support for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month by lighting up the Civic Space in Roscommon Town in gold between the 1st and the 10th of September.
Approximately 375 children, adolescents and young adults are diagnosed with cancer in Ireland each year.
By lighting up the civic space in gold, the council say it is standing in solidarity with those affected, honour those who have lost their lives, and highlight the vital emotional, practical and financial support provided by Childhood Cancer Ireland.
