A Carrick-on-Shannon based energy procurement and management company has announced the expansion of its operations with the purchase and official opening of new offices at 4 and 5 Park Lane in the town.

This milestone marks a significant step forward for Energy Partners as it continues to help businesses across the country secure cost-effective and sustainable energy solutions.

The new offices were officially opened last week by Minister of State for Small Business, Retail & Circular Economy, Alan Dillon.

Specialising in electricity, natural gas, LPG, and renewable micro-generation projects such as wind and solar, Energy Partners has built a reputation for helping Irish businesses reduce energy costs and improve efficiency. The company’s expertise has been recognised with an All-Ireland Business Award, underscoring its commitment to innovation and customer service.

Thanks to investment secured last year, Energy Partners purchased and renovated the new premises, now home to a state-of-the-art call centre and processing hub. This strategic move strengthens the company’s operations and positions it to meet increasing demand from its growing client base, which includes Supermac’s, Smyth’s Toys, and Keegan Quarries.

Speaking at the official opening, Minister of State for Small Business, Retail & Circular Economy, Alan Dillon, highlighted the company’s role in supporting Irish businesses.

“It is an honour to be here today in Carrick-on-Shannon for this momentous occasion for Energy Partners. The company not only provides vital employment to the local community but also plays a crucial role in helping businesses manage their energy costs. As a government, we recognise that businesses have faced significant challenges in recent years due to rising energy prices. Ireland remains one of the most expensive energy markets in the EU, making the work of Energy Partners even more essential,” he said.

“Beyond brokering energy costs, Energy Partners is also leading the way in advising businesses on renewable energy strategies. Their success is a testament to their expertise, and it is fantastic to see a company like this establish itself in the West and North West while serving businesses nationwide,” added Minister Dillon.

Andrew Hanley, Managing Director of Energy Partners, outlined the company’s long-term vision. “Our new offices reflect our ambition and long-term commitment to growth, improving our services, and contributing to the economic development of the Midlands and West.

“The energy sector is evolving rapidly and offers great opportunities for young professionals. We encourage those considering their career paths to explore this exciting industry, as we plan to double our workforce in the coming years.

“What makes our industry unique is that it welcomes both highly qualified professionals—some of our team hold master’s degrees in energy-related fields—as well as individuals with a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn. This combination of knowledge and dedication is what drives our success,” he explained.

Energy Partners’ services are increasingly recommended by accountants, auctioneers, and financial professionals, who recognise the company as a valuable resource for reducing operational costs. By working with all major energy providers, the company understands the strengths and limitations of each supplier, helping businesses choose the best fit for their specific energy needs.

Because suppliers purchase their energy at different times and in varying amounts, pricing and contract options can fluctuate. By analysing a business’s energy consumption, meter type, and overall strategy, Energy Partners ensures clients select the supplier that best aligns with their needs, delivering long-term cost savings and stability.

Beyond securing competitive energy plans, Energy Partners is a trusted advisor for businesses looking to adopt renewable energy solutions. The company collaborates with energy generators, suppliers, and regulators to help businesses integrate micro-generation projects like solar and wind power. With access to government-backed incentives such as feed-in tariffs, businesses can reduce their carbon footprint, lower energy costs, and even generate additional revenue by selling surplus energy back to the grid.

“The expansion is about more than just business growth—it’s about job creation and investing in local talent,” said Mr Hanley.

The company has ambitious plans to significantly expand its team in the coming years, ensuring that skilled professionals in the Midlands and West have exciting career opportunities in a thriving industry.

“We are committed to keeping local talent at the heart of our business. By investing in both people and technology, we’re ensuring that businesses across Ireland continue to benefit from expert energy solutions,” said Mr Hanley.

Energy Partners thanks all who attended the official opening, including: Minister Alan Dillon, Deputy Frank Feighan, Cllr Maeve Reynolds, Cllr Enda McGloin, Fiona McCormack (Department of Social Protection), Finola Armstrong-McGuire (President of Carrick-on-Shannon Chamber), Joe Lowe (Local Enterprise Office – LEO). “Their presence and support reflect the importance of businesses like Energy Partners in driving regional economic growth and innovation in the energy sector. As the company continues to expand, its focus remains on delivering smarter, cost-effective, and sustainable energy solutions to businesses across Ireland. Whether through negotiating the best supplier contracts or helping companies transition to renewable energy, Energy Partners is committed to supporting businesses on their journey toward greater efficiency and sustainability,” concluded Mr Hanley.
