Man (20s) dies in County Sligo road collision

A man in his 20s has died in a single vehicle road collision in County Sligo.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following the fatal road traffic collision at Drimina, Tubbercurry, in the early hours of this morning, Saturday,  October 26th.  

The single-vehicle collision, involving a car, occurred at approximately 3.45 a.m. on the R294.  The driver of the car, a man (20s), was fatally injured.  The local coroner has been notified and arrangements will be made for a post-mortem examination.  The road is currently being examined by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and remains closed with local diversions in place.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward.
