Missing person search halted following discovery of a body

Gardaí have confirmed that the search for 21-year-old David O'Callaghan has now been stood down following the discovery of a body earlier today.

Gardaí made the announcement in a formal statement issued in the last few minutes, Mr O'Callaghan, from Mohill, Co Leitrim, had been reported missing since Saturday, August 9th 2025. He had been last seen in Boyle, County Roscommon, on Saturday 9th August at approximately 5pm.
