A new boules court has been opened at a County Roscommon school.

There was great excitement on  International Day of the Francophonie (French-speaking world) with the opening of a boules court at Scoil Mhuire, Strokestown.

The guest of honour, suitably attired, was the chief architect of this boules court, Monsieur Compton.

All First Year students took part in a league to mark the opening.

The school also thanks also to Mr Keighran, David Brudell and Mr Horan for their work in getting this court up and running.
