New Garda superintendent appointed to the county

A new superintendent has been appointed to Roscommon Garda Station.

An Garda Síochána announced today that Superintendent Michael Dorrigan has been promoted to Roscommon Garda Station. He will have responsibility for the Roscommon Community Engagement Area of the Mayo/ Roscommon/ Longford Garda Division.

He replaces Superintendent John Fitzgerald, who was appointed last year and has been transferred to Bray Garda Station.

Superintendent Oliver Baker, who served part of his career in County Roscommon as an inspector, has been transferred to Ballinasloe Garda Station where he will have responsibility for the Galway East Community Engagement Area of the Galway Garda Division.
