One of St. Brigid’s youngest supporters is hoping that the Andy Merrigan Cup will be coming back to the Kiltoom/Cam parish on Sunday evening.

Charlie Stone from Castledaly is only three days old, but he’s nailing his colours to the mast early, hoping that St. Brigid’s can repeat their heroics of 2013.

Charlie is the son of St. Brigid’s senior ladies’ footballer, Katie McDonnell, and will be supporting his uncle Billy McDonnell; cousins Ruaidhrí Fallon, Cormac, Darragh and Eoin Sheehy; grandfather Michael McDonnell, and granduncle John Murray in Croke Park on Sunday.

“Nothing like starting the lifelong affiliation young,” noted St. Brigid’s in a post on social media.
