Rents across County Roscommon continue to climb

The average rental price of a three-bedroom house in the county in the third quarter of 2025 was €1,513, up 8.9% from a year ago, according to the latest figures from Daft.ie.
The average rent for a one bed apartment in the county is now €1,041 a rise of 9.0%. The average rental price of two-bedroom apartment is €1,273, which has increased by 5.8% and the average price of an apartment with three beds is €1,465, a rise of 6.7%.
The figures also show that the cost of renting a four-bed house in the county is €1,637, a rise of 7.7%.
In Connacht-Ulster (excluding Galway), market rents rose by an average of 5.9% in the year to September 2025.
While the average rent in Connacht- Ulster varied, a double room in a house with an ensuite averages €623, and a double room in a house without an ensuite averages at €564.
In the third quarter of 2025, the average monthly rent nationwide of a double-room in a house was €788, with Roscommon coming in at €535 and Leitrim €497.
Market rents are now one third higher than their pre-Covid levels and two thirds higher than their Celtic Tiger peak in late 2007.
The average monthly rent for a two-bedroom apartment nationwide, between June and September, was €2,080.
Nationally, market rents rose by an average of 1.7% in the third quarter of 2025. According to the latest rental report by Daft.ie, this is the eighteenth consecutive quarter of rising prices in rental properties in Ireland.
