Roscommon Gardaí investigate alleged assault

Gardaí in the county are carrying out an investigation into an alleged assault.

Gardaí received report of an incident of assault that occurred at approximately 4:15am on the morning of Sunday, December 15th, in Ballaghaderreen, County Roscommon.

"A man aged in his 40s and an adult male aged in his late teens were brought to Mayo University Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries sustained as a result of this incident," Gardaí said.

Investigations are ongoing.
