Roscommon shop to close after more than six decades in business

Donnellan Lady is to close this Saturday.

A Roscommon business is to close its doors after more than six decades.

In a post on social media, Roscommon Town business Donnellan Lady said after 61 years in business, it will close its doors for the final time this Saturday, September 6th.

“What started as 'The Fashion Saloon' by Mrs Donnellan in 1964 has evolved over the years into 'Donnellan Lady' today,” it said.

“It has been a privilege to serve the people of Roscommon and surrounding areas during this time and we would like to thank our incredibly loyal customers for their support over the years. We would also like to thank all of our staff, past and present, for their dedication and hard work during their time with us.

“The time has come now for Paula to retire and to draw a close to many wonderful years in the shop.” The shop is asking people to drop by on Saturday for a chat and some refreshments.
