Sightings of an unusual looking ‘wildcat’ have been made near Strokestown.

An image of the spotted feline type creature with a long striped tail was posted on X (formerly twitter).

The man who posted the image, Martin Daley, said it was spotted near a house in Cuilmore, Strokestown.

He surmised that it might be a Serval, an African wildcat.
