Investigations are ongoing into the alleged seizure.

Gardaí in the county are continuing to investigate the seizure of thousands of euro worth of suspected illegal drugs.

Roscommon Gardaí have arrested a man and seized over €33,000 of suspected cannabis and cocaine in Boyle, yesterday, 30th December.

“Gardaí on patrol at Corrigeenroe, Boyle, stopped and searched a vehicle at around 1:00am and seized cannabis herb, cannabis resin and cocaine with an estimated street value of more than €33,000,” a statement from gardaí said.

A man aged in his 20s was arrested and was detained at a station in the Garda North Western Region under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.

He has since been charged and is due to appear before a special sitting of Ballyshannon District Court tonight. The seized drugs will be sent to Forensic Science Ireland for analysis.

Investigations are ongoing.
