Tonnes of illegally dumped waste removed by the council

The council removed tonnes of illegally dumped waste from two sites in the county.

The council carried out two major clean ups earlier this month, removing almost 20 tonnes of illegal dumping. The clean-ups were funded by the Department of the Environment, Climate and Communications through its Anti-Dumping Initiative 2025.

Roscommon County Council's Environment Department completed significant clean-ups, clearing 12.36 tonnes of waste from Pollananty, Cloonfad, and 7.54 tonnes of waste from Cloonmagunnaun, Tibohine.
