The walking series Tracks & Trails returns to RTÉ One and RTÉ Player this week for its 13th season and episode two will feature County Roscommon.

The first episode airs this Friday, April 10th at 8.30 p.m..

In the series presenter, musician, and podcaster Doireann Ní Ghlacáin will explore Ireland's most beautiful trails, alongside a line-up of Irish personalities. This five-part series journeys through Louth, Roscommon, Longford, Antrim, Kildare, and Dublin, combining stunning scenery with compelling conversations about heritage, history, and personal connections to the land.

From archaeologists uncovering forgotten histories to musicians finding inspiration in wild places, Tracks & Trails pairs each landscape with voices that bring new meaning to these beautiful walking trails on the island of Ireland.

Episode 2, which will air on April 17th will feature Myles Dungan, historian and broadcaster, walking the National Famine Way from Strokestown House to the ancient royal site of Rathcroghan in Tulsk.

Also on this episode Sinead Hussey, broadcaster, discovers Longford's hidden gems along the greenway at Clondra to the Corlea Trackway Centre.
