Warmest day of the year in County Roscommon
There has been plenty of sunshine in County Roscommon this week.
Many parts of County Roscommon have enjoyed their warmest day of 2025 so far.
The mercury has hit 18c as the prolonged dry spell during March comes to an end.
Cloud will build from the south later tonight with rain spreading across the country in the morning.
It will remain largely dry in the west before the showers become more widespread on Friday afternoon.
However, the unsettled spell may be shortlived as Met Éireann is predicting that high pressure is set to dominate the weather during the middle of next week, bringing generally quiet and benign conditions.
