A local man has raised hundreds of euro for Autism Assistance Dogs Ireland by abseiling down an iconic sporting venue.

Yesterday Kiltoom man, John Gonley, geared up for a thrilling descent at the home of Munster Rugby, the legendary Thomond Park Stadium.

“Each donation plays a crucial role in supporting Autism Assistance Dogs Ireland, providing invaluable resources and autism assistance dogs to children and families in need,” said John on his donation page. “Your support and donation will make a real difference for autistic children.”

Assistance dogs are trained to the highest international standards to provide safety to children in public places.

“Assistance dogs enable children to go out and about safely and reduce anxiety not just for the child but for the whole family,” the charity said. “They can be a lifeline for children and their families when a child is suffering from the sometimes debilitating symptoms of autism.” To contribute to the fundraiser, please click here.
