Some of the goodies on offer at Esquires.

Esquires in Roscommon Town will celebrate its sixth anniversary in March.

As the weather changes and as we dive into a new season so will the menu at the Roscommon branch of Esquires, based at the town’s Centre Point Retail Park. There’s a new white chocolate, raspberry matcha on the way as well as some spring menu items.

Ronan Gannon from Carrick on-Shannon operates three Esquire branches, Roscommon, Wellpark in Galway and Carrick on-Shannon. He acquired the Roscommon Esquires in 2024 and since then has built up a solid customer base, a loyal staff and a great food offering.

The Roscommon branch employs 15 staff, ten full time and five part time. Ronan thanks them for their dedication and commitment to the business.

The café opens 8.30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Saturday and 9 a.m. on Sundays.

Since taking over the running of the café, Ronan has made it his aim to add variety to the food menu and keep an evolving drinks menu, noting that people’s love for iced drinks does not waver in the winter months.

All the coffee is Fairtrade and organic which is very important to the Roscommon Esquires.

The aim is to have a food offering that suits every palette, gluten free, vegetarian and alternative options.

The café is also partnering with organic Irish chicken business Rosie and Jim for a series of spring promotions.

With covered outdoor seating and ample seating inside, Esquires Roscommon has covered all the bases and aims to give something back to the community by supporting a range of initiatives. “We are happy to be a small part of a big town,” said Ronan.
