Young Roscommon man who overcame brain tumor featured on Operation Transformation

A young County Roscommon man has detailed his journey that saw him overcome serious illness to get back playing the game he loves.

Kyle Casey from Ballinameen was featured on RTÉ Operation Transformation this week as part of the programme’s visit to the North Roscommon GAA Club.

Kyle told the nation how he how much the club meant to him and how members rallied around him and his family when he was diagnosed with a brain tumor.

Kyle’s father Seán, a well-known and popular GAA coach in the county, detailed the severity of Kyle’s illness.

However, Kyle recovered and began to play Gaelic football again — a story that has inspired his friends and many members in the club and beyond.
