County Roscommon sharpshooter hits the target in Galway

Pat Bowens, representing Oran Shooting Grounds, won the side by side shotgun event at the All-Ireland sporting clay shooting competition, hosted by the National Association of Regional Game Councils (NARGC) at the National Shooting Grounds, Esker, County Galway on Sunday last.
Bowens shot 47 targets from 50. It was a personal best for the winner at the All-Ireland competition, which saw strong opposition from 17 counties.
Oran Shooting Grounds would also like to acknowledge Siobhan Hoare’s achievement in winning the Streete Shooting Grounds Ladies' Sporting Summer League. The league was held over a six-week period, with the final held Thursday, July 18th.
As well as congratulating and recognising Pat and Siobhan’s wins, Oran Shooting Grounds would also like to wish Ciarán Hoare all the best as he prepares to shoot with the Irish team in the Olympic Skeet Home Countries International in Route Shooting Grounds, Ballymoney, County Antrim, on August 10th.
