Details announced for special train service to Dublin 

A special train service will be running for supporters travelling up to Croke Park.

Irish Rail have announced details for a train running to Heuston Station.

The announcement comes ahead of tomorrow's crunch All Ireland quarter final between Roscommon and Armagh at 4 p.m..

The train will depart Castlerea at 10.20 a.m. before arriving in Roscommon Town at 10.37 a.m.. Passengers can also hop on in Athlone at 11.04 a.m.. 

The train is scheduled to arrive at Heuston Station at 12.28 p.m.. The return train will depart Heuston at 8.20 p.m. serving Athlone (9.51 p.m.), Roscommon (10.14 p.m.) and Castlerea (10.35 p.m.).

Roscommon supporters will also have the option to return on the 7.35 p.m. regular express at Heuston Station.

An Irish Rail statement urged customers to book their tickets as services will be extremely busy and priority will be given to customers who book their tickets online.

"We want you to be able to travel to the game as smoothly and as safely as possible, to do this, it is essential to keep to these guidelines… Please pre book Intercity travel – no Flexible tickets on Sold Out Services.

"Please remember that alcohol is prohibited on public transport. Antisocial behaviour will not be tolerated on-board or at any Iarnród Éireann Station. Free travel pass holders can now book a seat on special trains."
