Both St. Brigid’s and Castlerea St. Kevin’s know their All-Ireland semi-final opponents in early January after the Munster senior and intermediate football championship finals were decided this afternoon.
St. Brigid’s will play Castlehaven in the last four of the All-Ireland club senior football championship after the Cork side edged out Dingle from Kerry, 4-3, following a penalty shootout at the Gaelic grounds. The teams were deadlocked 0-13 apiece after extra time.
Castlerea St. Kevin’s will play Cill na Martra who were far too strong for Mungret St. Paul’s from Limerick in this afternoon’s Munster club intermediate football decider at Mallow.
The West Cork side, located between Macroom and Ballingeary and who are managed by former Roscommon senior football manager John Evans, prevailed by 3-12 to 0-10.
Both games will take place over the weekend of January 6th and 7th, 2004.
