Roscommon connections to Coláiste Mhuire side that will line out in Croke Park

There are Roscommon connections to the Coláiste Mhuire Mullingar outfit that qualified for the school’s first ever Hogan Cup final.
Will Scahill kicked 0-12, which included four two-pointers, for Coláiste Mhuire in their 1-23 to 3-12 extra time win against Abbey CBS, Newry in their Hogan Cup semi final.
Will’s father, David Scahill, is a former Castlerea St. Kevin’s footballer and has been part of the Roscommon Masters football team in recent years.
St. Faithleach’s senior footballer Brian Murtagh, is part of the Coláiste Mhuire management team.
He has helped the Mullingar based school claim successive Br. Bosco (Leinster Senior A) Cups and progress through to an All Ireland final.
Coláiste Mhuire Mullingar will line out in Croke Park on St. Patrick’s Day against a Tralee CBS side, who see former All Ireland winning footballer Marc Ó Sé serve as joint manager.
