Former Roscommon player and U-21 football manager, Nigel Dineen, is the new manager of the Caulry senior footballers in Westmeath.
Dineen has been in charge of Elphin for the past two seasons, leading them to Roscommon Intermediate Football Championship glory in 2024.
As a player, Dineen plied his trade with Tulsk and later with Castlerea St. Kevin's before delving into management.
He also managed Strokestown in recent years before taking up a role as selector with the Sligo senior footballers under former manager, Paul Taylor.
One of Dineen’s team-mates from his Roscommon days, Shane Curran, was in charge of Caulry for three seasons, leading the club to its first Westmeath SFC semi-final since 1946 in 2023.
Dineen will be assisted at the Mount Temple-based club by Alan Fitzpatrick (coach) and Philip Rainey (selector).
