RESULTS: Women’s 12-hole club stableford competition on Saturday, November 25th, Sunday, November 26th and Tuesday, November 28th, 1st, Helena Lennon (37), 26 pts; 2nd, Sandra Feary (31), 23 pts (B9); 3rd, Paula McClean (33), 23 pts.
SENIORS: The Christmas Hamper competition took place on November 30th in Strandhill. The overall winner was PJ Sharkey with 43 points. John O'Mahony came second with 40 points, Anthony Noone was third with 39 points, Michael Keville came fourth with 38 points and Paddy Dillon finished fifth with 37 points. Johnny Martin won Division One with 37 points. Division Two was captured by Robbie Donaldson with 34 points. Division Three was claimed by Jim Newcombe with 34 points. The front nine was won by Pat Gannon with 22 points. Charlie Farrell won the back nine with 20 points. Next Thursday, weather permitting, there will be a nine hole stableford shotgun start at 11 a.m. over the old nine-hole course, followed by Christmas dinner in the clubhouse at 1.30 p.m..
