Roscommon GAA legend hits hole-in-one on local golf course

A former Roscommon GAA star hit a hole-in-one on a local golf course earlier this week.
Eamon “Junior” McManus came up with the goods on the 6th hole during the Wednesday Open Singles competition at Athlone Golf Club.
A Clann na nGael legend, Junior won two Connacht championship medals with the Rossies in 1990 and 1991, and was Player of the Match in the 1990 final against Galway at Dr. Hyde Park.
In a post on social media, Athlone Golf Club toasted Junior’s hole-in-one by saying: “Known for his silky skills playing for Roscommon in the nineties, he has now has turned his skills to the golf course.
