Roscommon golfer impresses at US tournament
Cian O'Connor shot a final round of 67 to help the University of Memphis finish fourth at the American Athletic Conference Championship.
Roscommon’s Cian O’Connor produced a terrific final round while competing with the University of Memphis at the American Athletic Conference Championship.
O’Connor finished in a tie for 15th overall as he helped his college to a fourth placed team finish.
He shot a final round of 67, a career best, to finish the tournament on six under par.
O’Connor was named on the AAC All Academic Team in the 2022/23 season.
The Roscommon golfer earned a Fred Daly All Ireland medal in 2019 with Roscommon Golf Club and two senior schools medals for Roscommon CBS in 2018 and 2020.
