LGFA: The U-14 Division One girls will take on Northern Harps on June 4th in Abbey Park at 7 p.m.. The U-14 Division Four girls will be up against Clann na nGael on June 5th in Johnstown at 6.30 p.m.. The U-12 Group A girls are away to St. Ciaran’s on June 7th at 6 p.m.. The Abbey Park will host an U-8 blitz for North Roscommon teams on June 6th at 10 a.m..

O’ROURKE CUP: The senior footballers will play Roscommon Gaels in the ninth round of the O’Rourke Cup (Division One League) in the Abbey Park on June 5th at 8 p.m..

UNDERAGE FOOTBALL: Congratulations to the U-14 boys who won the Division Two final against Kilglass/St. Barry’s. Well done to the boys and their management team.

EXAMS: Best of luck to the Boyle GAA, LGFA and Camogie Club members who are starting their exams this week.

CASTLEREA ST. KEVIN’S

FIXTURES: The senior footballers play Pádraig Pearses in the O’Rourke Cup on Friday evening in Woodmount at 8 p.m.. The junior footballers play St. Ronan’s in the Tansey Cup on Saturday evening in O’Rourke Park at 6 p.m..

CASTLEREA CELTIC: Well done to Castlerea Celtic who won the Roscommon Cup last Sunday.

SYMPATHY: Condolences to the Waldron family, Knockroe, and the Hester family, Valeview, on their recent bereavements.

KILBRIDE

UNDERAGE NEWS: The club hosted an U-8 blitz on Friday, May 29th, that included visiting teams from Castlerea St. Kevin’s, Michael Glaveys and Éire Óg. There was huge excitement when Roscommon senior football manager, Mark Dowd, arrived with the Nestor Cup — a brilliant memory for the young footballers. Well done to the players, coaches, and parents for creating such a positive and enjoyable evening of football. Well done to the U-12 footballers who produced a strong team performance against Oran/St. Croan’s on Sunday morning.

LGFA NEWS: The U-10 girls will travel to St. Barry’s on Saturday morning to take part in their first blitz of the year. On Tuesday, June 2nd, the U-12 girls will play Éire Óg in their last Summer League game of the year in Kilbride at 7 p.m.. Best of luck to the U-14 girls who play St. Michael's/St. Ronan's on Thursday evening in Kilbride at 7 p.m.. Best of luck also to the U-14 girls who will represent Kilbride Community Games when they take on Roscommon Gaels on Saturday evening in Kilbride at 7 p.m.. Hard luck to Aisling Hanly and the Roscommon intermediate ladies’ football team who lost out to Cavan on Sunday.

LOTTO: There was no winner of the lotto jackpot in the draw on May 30th. Five €20 winners were Martina Brennan, Andrea Kenny, Seán Horan, Mark Gillooly, and Paul Daly. The next draw takes place on June 13th for a jackpot of €15,000.

SCHOOLS’ FINALS: Best of luck to Fourmilehouse and Derrane National Schools in their Cumann na mBunscol finals on Thursday.

EVENING AT THE RACES: Kilmore GAA Healthy Club Committee is organising an evening at the races on Monday, July 6th, in Roscommon Racecourse. The evening will cost just €50 and will include entry to the races, race card, food and transport from Kilmore and home.

ROUNDERS: Well done to the mixed team on their victory over Elphin in Kilmore last Tuesday evening, making it three wins from three. Commiserations to the intermediate men’s team who were beaten by a strong St. Senan's side in Athlone. Thanks to Athlone GAA Club for hosting the fixture, and to Jay and PJ for officiating the games.

NORTHERN GAELS

UPDATE: The U-11s play Dunmore in Glan Astro Pitch on Thursday at 7.15 p.m.. Everyone at Northern Gaels would like to wish the very best of luck to players who are starting their Junior and Leaving Cert exams this week. SHANNON GAELS

FIXTURES: Wednesday, June 3rd, intermediate men v Pádraig Pearses, Tom Collins Park, Croghan, 8 p.m.. Sunday, June 7th, U-12 girls v St. Dominic’s in Knockcroghery, 6 p.m..

CHURCH GATE COLLECTION: A big thank you to everyone who supported the church gate collection over the Bank Holiday weekend, especially James Egan for coordinating.

50/50 DRAW: The 50/50 draw took place at Cortober Bingo on Sunday. The winner was Michael Kelly, who won €1,800. A huge word of thanks to James Egan who coordinated ticket sales for May with almost €18,000 in sales and almost €9,000 in prize money. It was a massive effort by James and his team and the club really appreciates their hard work.

SUMMER CAMP: The annual summer camp will take place between June 29th and July 3rd.

SHOOTING STARS: Calling all boys and girls aged between four and six years of age to come and join the fun at Shannon Gaels Shooting Stars Nursery, which starts on Saturday, June 6th at 10 a.m. in Páirc na Gael (Bullfield). ST. BARRY’S

U-14 FINAL: Hard luck to the U-14 lads on losing the Division Two League final, 3-9 to 2-9, against Boyle. Both the Division Two and Division Four teams have performed well in the league, and look to be in good shape for the championship.

TANSEY CUP: The intermediate footballers are scheduled to play St. Aidan’s in the Tansey Cup this weekend. Promotion back to the O'Gara Cup is very much within reach.

MONSTER DRAW: As part of the continued development of the community and sporting facilities in Tarmonbarry, the club is running a Monster Draw with some fantastic prizes. The draw takes place on Sunday, October 25th, in Keenan’s of Tarmonbarry. Check out the club’s social media channels for more details.

ST. CROAN’S

RESULTS: Well done to the U-12 girls who played a game against their neighbours Oran. The girls played some great football and showed how they are improving every week. Hard luck to the intermediate men who were defeated by Ballinameen in the O’Gara Cup on a scoreline of 2-14 to 0-18. Hard luck to the combined U-16 Division Four team who were defeated by Tulsk. Well done to the junior men who defeated St. Dominic’s on a scoreline of 4-14 to 0-16.

LGFA NEWS: Hard luck to Ella Thompson and the Roscommon intermediate ladies’ footballers who were defeated by Cavan in the opening round of the TG4 All-Ireland Intermediate Championship on a scoreline of 0-16 to 2-7. Their next game is against Down on June 14th in Enfield.

CÚL CAMPS: The St. Croan’s Cúl Camp is taking place between July 20th and 24th. Booking is now open.

JOHN KENNEDY SPORTS CAMP: The sports camp takes place in Glenamaddy between July 6th and 10th between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.. The camp in Ballymoe takes place between July 13th and 17th between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.. It’s €60 per week for one child, €110 for two children, €150 for three children. ADULT TEAMS: Best of luck to the intermediate men's football team and management, sponsored by Joe Simon Home, Garden and Build, who are due to play Ballinameen in the O’Gara Cup on Saturday next in Ardcarne Park at 6 p.m.. Well done to the junior footballers who defeated Kilmore by 3-19 to 1-13 in Croghan on Friday evening.

UNDERAGE GAA: Congratulations to the U-14 Division Four panel and management who were victorious in their league final, defeating Pádraig Pearses by 4-8 to 4-3 after a competitive and entertaining contest in Ballyleague on Friday evening. This brings the underage boys’ league campaign to a close. The championship is due to commence in a few weeks’ time. The 2014 U-12 team play St. Barry's in Tarmonbarry on Sunday morning at 11 a.m.. The 2015 team play Kilglass Gaels on Wednesday evening in Kilglass at 7 p.m.. LEAGUE CHAMPIONS: Congratulations to the St. Michael’s/St. Ronan's U-14 team who defeated Pádraig Pearses in the Division Four League final on Wednesday last. The final score was St. Michael’s/St. Ronan’s 4-8, Pádraig Pearses 4-5. A big thank you to all the players on the panel, especially the management team and parents who devoted so much time throughout the year.

TANSEY CUP: St. Ronan’s play Castlerea St. Kevin’s in the Tansey Cup at O’Rourke Park on Saturday evening at 6 p.m..

LOTTO: There was no winner of the lotto jackpot when the draw was held last weekend. OFFICIAL OPENING: A sincere thank you to all those who supported the club's weekend of celebrations for the official opening of its new training pitch. It was great to see so many club members — young and not so young, male and female — taking part in games of football and camogie on the new pitch over the weekend. It was the culmination of many years of hard work on and off the field. Once again, the club extends a huge thank you to those who have supported the club's numerous fundraisers toward the pitch development over recent years. Without their generosity, this development simply could not have happened. It is hoped that club members enjoy the new pitch and walking track for many, many years to come. A huge thank you to everyone who worked so hard to make the weekend such a great success.

INTERMEDIATE FOOTBALLERS: Well done to the club's PB Networks sponsored men's intermediate football team who won the North and West intermediate final with a comprehensive win over Kilmore on Sunday. They take on St. Dominic's in the O'Rourke Cup this weekend.

WESTERN GAELS

FIXTURES: The senior men’s footballers are away to Oran on Sunday at 1 p.m.. The junior men play Clann na nGael in the Tansey Cup at Nash Park on Saturday at 6 p.m..
