GLÓR NA NÓG: Congratulations to Shannon Gaels GAA/LGFA on receiving national recognition through the Glór na nÓg initiative — a significant achievement for a small rural club. Special credit to Edel O’Dowd and Saoirse Hanly, who entered this award on behalf of the club. This recognition reflects the excellent work taking place across Shannon Gaels — from youth camps and coaching pathways to opportunities for young people to become involved in refereeing, team support, and having a genuine voice within the club. The continued emphasis on development, inclusion, and initiatives such as Dillon Quirke Foundation awareness and Movember highlights the positive role the club plays in the wider community. It is a strong endorsement of the community spirit that underpins the club and the dedication of the many volunteers who give their time to support young people locally. National recognition of this nature is hard earned and fully deserved. Well done to Edel, Saoirse, and everyone involved in this achievement.
