New lawn bowls pitch to open in County Roscommon
The lawn bowls facility beside Strokestown Community Centre.
A new lawn bowls pitch will be officially opened at Strokestown Community Centre next week.
The grand launch will coincide with the Community Fleadh, which is part of the Connacht Fleadh taking place in Strokestown between July 1st and 7th.
Anyone interested can come along for an evening filled with fun and community spirit on Tuesday, July 2nd, at Strokestown Community Centre starting at 6 p.m..
Seasoned and new players can try out bowls and boccia. Experienced members from Sligo and Roscommon clubs will be in attendance to help participants get started.
Refreshments will be served on the evening. It’s the perfect opportunity to meet new people, learn a new sport and celebrate the growth in the community.
