Roscommon handballer crowned world champion after doubles final success

2024 World Ladies Open Doubles champions Fiona Tully (Roscommon) and Ciara Mahon (Kilkenny).

Roscommon handballer Fiona Tully scored a major success yesterday (Friday) when she was part of a successful doubles team which captured the World Ladies Open Doubles title in Limerick.

The St. Coman’s handballer and her partner Ciara Mahon from Kilkenny defeated the USA pairing of Americas Suly Ruiz and Melissa Sky in two games.

Tully certainly made amends in this Doubles final after losing out earlier in the day to Limerick’s Martina McMahon in the Ladies’ Singles Open final.
