Two Roscommon rugby players made try scoring contributions to help their respective teams to victories in the Celtic Challenge competition.

Síofra Hession came off the bench to cross the try line as the Clovers secured a bonus point, 38-31 win over Glasgow Warriors.

The 18 year old converted her own 74th minute try.

Jemima Adams Verling started in the back row for the Clovers in a win that keeps them in the hunt for a home semi-final in the Celtic Challenge.

Meanwhile, Creagh’s Aoibheann Reilly scored a try in the Wolfhounds’ comfortable 44-10 win over Gwalia Lightning.

The scrum half crossed in the 39th minute to ensure the Wolfhounds secured their place in the Celtic Challenge’s first-ever play-offs with four rounds to spare.
