BALLINAMEEN 

The bonus ball draw took place on Saturday night. Congratulations to the two winners, Joe Gilligan and John Murtagh. The draw continues every Saturday night, contact any member of the executive committee to enter. The club are looking for volunteers to do some work around the pitch over the Christmas break. BOYLE 

LOTTO: The online lotto was drawn on Sunday, December 17th, for a jackpot prize of €6,600. The match three winner was Kieran Supple and the jackpot was not won. The jackpot now stands at €6,700 and will be drawn at the usual time of 9 p.m. next Sunday.

LAST MAN STANDING: Congratulations to Harry Donaghy on winning the Last Man Standing competition, and thanks to all who entered.

AGM: The club AGM was held on Friday, December 8th. A large crowd was in attendance as David Kelly ended his four-year term as chairman. He thanked everyone involved with the club, local media, team sponsors and supporters for everything over the past four years. David will take up a new role as assistant PRO in 2024. Shane Feely was appointed chairman, with Cormac Mullan appointed vice chairman. The other officer positions remain the same as last year, with Michael Tormey, Colin O’Sullivan, Stephen Tonry and Brian Furey remaining on as secretary, treasurer, registrar and PRO respectively. Ray Hannon was appointed as coaching officer. Jackie Valentine was reappointed as health and well-being officer and Claire Toman also remains on as children’s officer. Bryan Kennedy will continue as minor committee chairperson. Cian Smith was ratified as senior manager for a fourth year and Shane Spellman was ratified as Junior A manager for his second year LGFA AGM: Boyle LGFA AGM took place on Friday, December 1st in Boyle GAA clubhouse. Each manager give a report for the year, noting the different achievements at U-14, U-16 and in particular the senior ladies who made history by winning their first senior county title. This year saw the introduction of ‘Go Games' at U-8, U-10 and U-12 level. It was noted that across all age levels that Boyle LGFA have great players and the future looks bright. A word of thanks to all managers, coaches, players, parents, grounds team, pitch co-ordinator, fixtures committee and sponsors for their work and dedication throughout the year. A special thank you to the outgoing senior ladies manager Vinny Flanagan. Thank you for all your hard work and dedication which you have given to the club down through the years. Wishing your all the best in the future and a warm welcome to new senior manager Pat Leonard. The committee would like to thank outgoing chairperson Jim McGrath for all the work he has done and welcome new Chairperson Jan Flanagan.

UPCOMING EVENTS: The Boyle GAA/LGFA Dinner Dance will take place in Kilronan Castle on Saturday, January 20th. Tickets cost €50 and are on sale via Klubfunder.

CASTLEREA ST. KEVIN’S 

ALL-IRELAND SEMI-FINAL: It has been confirmed that Castlerea St. Kevin’s will play Cill na Martra of Cork on Saturday, January 6th, in Laois Hire O’Moore Park, Portlaoise.

ST. STEPHEN’S DAY: A 5km fun run/walk will take place on St. Stephen’s Day at 2 p.m., starting at the O’Rourke centre. You can register on the day or in advance on the clubforce page, all proceeds go to St. Anne’s stem room.

DRAW: A lucky numbers draw takes place this Friday evening, December 22nd, in the O’Rourke Centre during the bingo interval. Tickets can be purchased from any club member and you will be entered into the draw for all 52 weeks of the year. Tickets cost €100 and all entries will be included in the draw this Friday evening. The first prize is €500 and then there are five prizes of €100 each.

LOTTO: There was no jackpot winner, the lucky dip winners are Sheridan Quinn, Breege Callaghan, Greg Bruen, Eddie Keane, Nancy Kelly. Next week’s jackpot prize is €7,600 and the draw takes place in the O’Rourke Centre on Friday at 8.30 p.m..

EASTERN HARPS 

Wishing all supporters a happy Christmas and a healthy and prosperous 2024. Padraic Higgins, Culfadda won the weekly 50/50 Draw with a record jackpot of €558. There will be additional prizes over Christmas. The draw takes place every Monday evening, and there will be one guaranteed lucky jackpot winner each week. Gurteen bingo continues this Friday at 8 p.m. with the jackpot at €2,900 in 47 calls or less. The in-house lotto jackpot is €200. There will be extra prizes every Friday night in December.

ÉIRE ÓG 

LOTTO RESULT: There was no jackpot winner and no €100 winner. The €20 winners were Geralyn Gallagher, Michael Lundon, James Regan, Annette Keigher, Aaron McLoughlin. Next week's jackpot is €7,200 and the draw will take place in Creaton’s, Loughglynn on Christmas Eve. There will be extra envelopes drawn for prizes on the night.

TABLE QUIZ: Éire Óg ladies would like to sincerely thank all who attended, took part or supported the recent table quiz in the Village Inn. The event raised over €2,100 for the club which will go towards running costs for 2024. A huge thank you to the Quiz Master, to everyone who helped run the event, to the Village Inn for hosting the event and to all of those who sponsored both quiz prizes and raffle prizes on the night. Your support is greatly appreciated by the club and the players.

NOVELTY GAME: On St. Stephen's Day there will be the usual novelty fun match at James Timothy Park. This year a Lisacul selection will take on a selection of players from Loughglynn and Gorthaganny. at 1.30 p.m.. Refreshments afterwards in Creaton's of Lisacul.

CONGRATULATIONS: To Declan Woods, who has been selected to represent Ireland in 2024 in the International Rules Masters Over-50 squad.

ELPHIN 

GOAL MILE: Elphin Healthy Club are holding a Goal Mile walk on Saturday, December 30th, at 11 a.m., starting in the Orchard. Please come along and support this worthy cause. Find the link for registration on social media.

MICHAEL O’CALLAGHAN CUP: On St. Stephen’s day at the Orchard Park at 2 p.m., this year the town will play the country. Marty Brady will manage the country and Kieran Gormley will manage the town. Admission is optional, all proceeds will go to underage development of Elphin/Ballinameen and Northern Harps. All successful teams from both Elphin/Ballinameen and Northern Harps with management teams will be presented to the crowd at half-time. ST. MICHAEL’S 

CHRISTMAS GREETINGS: Wishing all members a very happy and peaceful Christmas time.

SUPER FUEL AND HOLIDAY DRAW: The final stages of the Super Fuel and Holiday draw are already here! The draw takes place in Clancy’s, Knockvicar, on Friday, December 29th at 9 p.m. and will be broadcast live on the club’s facebook page. On Friday next, December 22nd, there is an opportunity to return all sold cards and monies from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.. If you need more cards, you can come along and pick some up. The club greatly appreciates the effort of the whole community and beyond in the days and weeks coming up to the draw. There are fifteen fantastic prizes to be won.

CELEBRATORY DINNER DANCE: St. Michael’s are delighted to host a celebratory Dinner Dance on February 17th at The Landmark Hotel, Carrick-on-Shannon. Please save the date and tickets will be on sale shortly.

TULSK LORD EDWARDS 

AGM REPORT: The club's AGM took place in the clubrooms on Sunday, December 10th. Haulie O'Rourke was elected as chairperson, Joe Fitzmaurice as Vice-chairperson. All other club officers were re-elected unopposed. Two positions on the executive committee remain vacant; registrar and Scór. The club wishes to thank Darena Hanly for the trojan work she has done in the role of registrar in recent years, during a time when membership numbers have increased significantly. This is a very important job within the club and it is vital that it is filled asap. The role of Scór involves co-ordinating Scór Sinsir and Scór na nÓg activities within the club. This role may suit a person with an interest in music, Irish dancing or quizzes. HAPPY CHRISTMAS: The club extends a very merry Christmas to all club members and a happy and healthy New Year. All club members and supporters are invited to attend an appreciation night on Saturday, December 23rd in O'Connor's Bar, Tulsk as a token of appreciation for the support the club has received, both on and off the field, throughout the year. Please note that this is not a fundraising event, there will be no raffle/auction etc. All club members and supporters are invited to attend!
