A fundraising trad seisiún will be held  tonight, Saturday, March 16th in Pádraig Pearses Clubhouse, Woodmount  in support of Ollie Johnston, who has been diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND).

Ollie's sons were major players in many Pearses successes at underage in both hurling and football.

The seisiún will be hosted by 'Pádraig Pearse Session Musicians' and friends as part of their regular programme. There will be no cover charge but people can make a voluntary contribution to the fund on the night, if they so wish. A great turnout is expected as the event coincides with St. Patrick's weekend celebrations.

A GoFundMe has been set up to support Ollie, a train driver with Irish Rail for the last 25 years, following his his life-altering diagnosis of MND last November.

A father of four sons, Ollie's dream has always been to embark on the iconic Route 66 journey with his family.
