Roscommon singer-songwriter, Ciara Lawless starts 2025 with a bang, releasing her new single ‘Dreams’ on February 21st.
Taughmaconnell singer-songwriter Ciara Lawless will start 2025 with a bang, releasing her new single ‘Dreams’ on February 21st.
The track is the first release from her upcoming sophomore album, set for release on May 2nd, 2025. Blending catchy melodies with a poignant message, Ciara described Dreams as “an upbeat, fun 80s inspired pop song inspired by the creative spark in dreamers whose ambitions fade when left unpursued”.
Her musical journey began under extraordinary circumstances. At the age of six, she survived a traumatic accident in which a steel gate fell on her, leaving her right leg hanging by the skin. Unable to walk for six months, she turned to music, immersing herself in piano and guitar lessons as a form of healing. Later, she honed her vocal skills through classical and opera training at the Academy of Music in Tullamore, where she competed in national and international competitions. She began her professional singing career as a funeral singer, a role she describes as both an honour and a profound way to connect with people.
With a successful debut album last year, Dreams is the first of three planned single releases for 2025, dropping on February 21st , marking the next chapter in her musical evolution.
