The current standings in the Order of Merit for Golfer of the Year have been published and Pat Conroy of Forest View is sitting pretty with 248 points with his nearest placed rival Owen Garvin on 170. Mark Whelan is in 3rd place on 158 and Jason Beirne has 154.

On this Wednesday the course will be closed from 3.30 p.m. onwards as the club will be holding an interclub fixture (6 hole Scramble) for children from Boyle, Carrick-on-Shannon, Castle Dargan and Tubbercurry. Boyle Early Learning and Care has a new name and now needs a new logo. As the group continues the journey towards establishing a community early years’ service in Boyle it is inviting local children to design a logo for the future service. The winning design will inspire the official logo and become part of the story as the group create a welcoming place where children can learn, play and grow. Entry forms available at Boyle Family Resource Centre and entries close on August 21st.
Following Ballaghaderreen's defeat to Colemanstown Boyle Celtic’s men's masters team have been confirmed as league champions. They have enjoyed an unbeaten season so far, scoring the most goals and having the meanest defence. This unbeaten run contains only one draw with one game to spare. Congratulations to the team and management.

Boyle Family Resource Centre will host a percussion making workshop on Wednesday, August 12th where children will create their very own drums using recycled materials while exploring music and creativity in a fun, hands-on way. This workshop is free to attend, but booking is essential as places are limited. A €10 refundable deposit is required to secure a place and will be returned on the day of the workshop. The summer holidays can feel long, so Boyle Family Resource Centre is delighted to open its drop-in Room during the week of August 10thfrom 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. for young people aged 12–18 years. Come along and relax with your friends in a safe, welcoming space. Whether you want to have a chat, grab a drink, chill out, or join in some fun activities, you're welcome to drop in whenever suits you. There's no need to book – just come along.
On Thursday, July 30th the monthly Connect Café will run at Boyle Family resource Centre. It will be a morning of chats, laughter and board games.
