Pupils from Abbeycartron National School are taking part in the WEEE Ireland Schools’ Battery Recycling Challenge. They need your help with collecting used batteries, so that they can be in with a chance of winning a €2,000 sports equipment voucher for the school. In your home, there could be used batteries hiding in the Christmas tree lights, old toys, outdoor decorations, watches, talking teddies/dolls, keyboards, electric toothbrushes or razors, battery powered candles, old remote controls, old radios etc. Please don’t put them in a drawer or the bin. Give them to a pupil of Abbeycartron National School and they will happily add them to the collection.
