Richael Timothy set a new Irish record at the Paralympic Games in Paris earlier today.

Richael Timothy’s excellent start to the Paralympics Games in Paris continued this morning, Saturday, when she posted another PB and Irish record.

Competing in the C1-3 500 metres time trial at the Velodrome, the former Roscommon ladies’ footballer posted a time of 41.937 in her heat to finish in tenth overall.

However, her time wasn’t enough to make the final with only the top six making it through the to the medal races later today.

On Thursday she set a PB and Irish record in the C1-3 3,000 metres women’s individual pursuit in what was her first event of the Paris Paralympic Games.
