The collision has occurred on the N60 between Roscommon Town and Ballymoe.
Gardaí, fire service and ambulance service personnel are at the scene.
The road, near the turn off for Ballintubber, remains open, but motorists are being urged to slow down and exercise caution as emergency services deal with the incident.
It is not yet know if anyone was injured in the collision.
