Emergency services at serious road traffic collision in the county
Emergency services are at the scene
Gardaí and other emergency services are currently at the scene of a serious road traffic collision in the county.
Gardaí confirmed to the Herald that emergency services are at Frenchpark, having responded to a collision, which occurred at the junction of the N5 and R361 at approximately 4:45pm this afternoon.
The road is currently closed and local diversions are in place.
The Herald will update the story as more details emerge.
SF TD Claire Kerrane came across the accident, saying on social media that numerous Garda vehicles, ambulances and fire brigades were at the scene.
“Please avoid the area if possible. There are long delays in and out and no access to the village. Please God whatever has happened, those involved will be ok.”
