An incredible evening was had at Roscommon Racecourse for the SuperValu Ireland Ladies Day meeting.

Roscommon Racecourse was thrilled to welcome the large crowd to a wonderful day filled with style, excitement, and the best of Irish horse racing.

Ladies Day was sponsored by seven SuperValu stores in Roscommon - Fleming's Supervalu, Roscommon Town; Smith’s SuperValu Monksland; Glancy's SuperValu Carrick-on-Shannon; SuperValu Lanesboro; Cosgrove/McGuinness, SuperValu Strokestown, and Cahill's SuperValu, Castlerea.

Winner Danielle Crowley received a cash prize of €1,200, and the nine finalists also received a cash prize of €100 each.

Roscommon native and award-winning milliner Laura Hanlon was the judge on the day.
Laura said: “Our Best Dressed Lady for Ladies Day at Roscommon Races was Danielle Crowley from Fermanagh. She made her own hat, and it was spectacular. She had a standout show piece and she looked so comfortable, complete with a vintage bag, which was clear, and you could see the Chanel compact inside. Her gloves were a charity shop find and matched perfectly, and her dress was just beautiful, with a puffy shoulder to add drama. Her shoes and belt finished off the look to perfection.”

Marketing for Roscommon Racecourse Ruth McCourt of Smart Digital Marketing & PR Agency said: “We were delighted to have a very successful Ladies Day at Roscommon Races. Our judge Laura Hanlon had a very difficult task as the style was through the roof. We loved having Laura’s son Alex attend the racecourse with his mother and he was also interviewed on the day. A huge thank you to everyone who came and supported Ladies Day at Roscommon Racecourse and also a big thank you to our special guests on the day, Meghann Scully, Canella Lane, Michelle Fitzpatrick and Stephen Kelly of The 3 Bucks Left.”
