Fire station re-opening 'a priority' - Roscommon meeting hears

The re-opening of Castlerea Fire Station and road safety issues are among the priorities for Roscommon Municipal District councillors, a meeting this afternoon heard.
At the first meeting of the Roscommon Municipal District since the local election Fianna Fail's Larry Brennan was elected the Cathaoirleach of the Municipal District. He was proposed by Cllr Marty McDermott (FF) and seconded by Cllr Paschal Fitzmaurice (FF).
Cllr Marty McDermott was elected as the Leas-Cathaoirleach, proposed by Cllr Fitzmaurice and seconded by Cllr Gareth Scahill (FG).
Both councillors were wished were in their roles for the coming year.
