League fixtures for Roscommon camogie team confirmed
The Roscommon camogie team will start their Division 3A league campaign with a game against Kildare.
Roscommon’s flagship camogie team have learned their league schedule for 2026.
Mary Grehan’s side will be one of five teams in Division 3A next season with the top two teams progressing through to the league final.
They will commence their campaign against Kildare on the weekend of February 14/15.
One week later they will face Armagh, who defeated the Rossies in this year's All Ireland Premier Junior Championship semi final.
Roscommon will then face Tyrone on the weekend of February 28/March 1 before lining out against Wicklow the following weekend.
Roscommon’s bye week comes in the final round of group games while the league final is down for decision on April 11.
Meanwhile, the format for the championship has been confirmed. This year there will be four tiers with Roscommon lining out in the third tier, the Premier Junior Championship.
Roscommon will line out alongside Armagh, Kildare, Tyrone and Wicklow with the top four teams progressing through to the All Ireland semi final stage.
The Premier Junior Championship commences on the weekend of May 30/31 while the All Ireland semi finals are down for decision on the weekend of July 18/19.
The All Ireland final is set to be played on the weekend of August 8/9.
The Camogie Association will be trialling new rules during 2026, with the rules applying to the National Leagues, Glen Dimplex All-Ireland Championships and U-23 All-Ireland Championships only.
These include more severe penalties for dissent, a player being permitted to take a sideline puck from their hands inside their own ’45 while a player may not be substituted after the completion of 30 minutes of each half and, if applicable, 10 minutes of each half in extra-time, other than in circumstances covered by Rules 5.2 (Temporary Substitution/Blood replacement) and 5.4 (Concussion/Suspected Concussion).
