A food business, which has been operational in Carrick-on-Shannon for 20 years, is set to close permanently on Friday.

A food business, which has been operational in Carrick-on-Shannon for 20 years, is set to close permanently on Friday.

Earlier today Crumbs Sandwich Bar in Carrick-on-Shannon announced on its social media pages that it would be closing.

“It is with great sadness that we have to announce that Crumbs Sandwich Bar will be closing permanently on Friday, June 21st,” said the owners of the business.

“This is not an easy decision for us. We started our business 20 years ago and since then we have overcome many challenges including a recession and a pandemic! And only for you, our regular and loyal customers this would not have been possible. So, thank you.

"To all staff members, past and present, a huge thanks for your hard work and dedication. A special mention to Mira Macosz, who sadly passed away, we will always remember your smile.

“Thank you to all of our suppliers who have been a pleasure to deal with. We are very proud of the business that we have built up in Carrick-on-Shannon but it is time for a new chapter and it's always nice to finish when you are on top,” said the owners.
