Funeral of Pablo Roberto taking place this morning

The funeral of popular and well known businessman, Paolo Roberto, who was known as Pablo, will take place later this morning, Thursday.
Mr Roberto, Castlecoote, and formerly Oakville, Ontario, Canada and Bitetto, Bari, Italy, was the creator and owner of a successful fishing business, ‘Gone Fishing Ireland’, and was 52 years old.
He passed away peacefully, on Sunday, September 21st, at Galway University Hospital, with his loving family and best friend by his side.
Mass of the Resurrection will take place in the Church of the Assumption, Castlecoote this morning at 11 a.m. followed by private cremation.
He will be forever missed by his heartbroken wife Orla Leyden, his adored daughter Donata Maria, his mother Donata, brother Tony, sister Sara, his cherished nieces Stefania and Nicole, treasured godsons Kyle and Daniel, mother and father-in-law Mary and Terry, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, extended family, neighbours and many good friends. Pablo is predeceased by his father Giuseppe.
Tributes were paid at the monthly meeting of Roscommon County Council on Monday following Mr Roberto’s untimely death.
A minute’s silence was also observed at the meeting in memory of Mr Roberto.
Councillors expressed their condolences to his wife Orla, daughter Donata Maria and the extended Leyden and Roberto families.
